How to Apply for a Grant


The foundation offers grants to non-profit organizations who are actively serving others in the area of human growth and development with a strong focus on youth development. We seek to support organizations that will benefit from a long term relationship.

In order to apply for grants, you must meet the following criteria:

  • 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit organizations
  • Located in the United States
  • Programs that focus on fostering human development: particularly the disadvantaged in the areas of educational and youth development

Who is not eligible to receive grants:

  • Capital campaigns or renovation projects
  • Religious programs / activities
  • Debt Reduction programs
  • Colleges and Universities
  • Medical or Healthcare Programs
  • Animal care / programs
  • Direct assistance to individuals - loans, scholarships, fellowships, grants
  • For profit entities

How to Apply:

Complete the Grant Application on the Raymond and Rita Foos web site. In some cases a phone conference or site visit may be part of the review process.


The grant application period is from January 1 to September 1st of each year.* Applications must be submitted via the web site during the application period. All applications are reviewed on an on-going bases and the processing and notification of grant status can take up to 12 weeks. Final distribution of the funds will be mailed no later than December 1 of that same year.
